Hello, I’m Deb, the maker behind Bramble Blue and I’m so pleased you’ve chosen to have a look.
I grow most of the dye plants for the scarves on my allotment here in sunny (sometimes) Bletchley. A few I buy from reputable suppliers. I also use the bits of veg that we otherwise throw away, such as avocado skins and stones, red cabbage outer leaves, red onion skins etc. The colour possibilities are an amazing, endlessly fascinating set of experiments to explore.
I run workshops in the craft of dyeing fabric and in drawing and painting landscape and plants.
I also make porcelain brooches with designs from nature.
